Generally, false prophesies regarding the End-time can have serious
implications for genuine End-time messages and alertness of believers in
general. The danger here is that some people now consider ,even,
genuine End time messages as just “one of those things ”
In the light of this, it is necessary to have a much closer look at a
well-known classic case, which could serve as case study.
This case study is entitled; “crying wolf, wolf, when there is no wolf”
It is a story of a boy who, as a pastime, often cried “wolf, wolf, wolf
for fun”.
To recap, this boy, who lived in a certain community, was in the habit
of giving false signals of an imminent danger, thereby attracting people
to come to his rescue.
But, on each of these occasions, the alarm happened to be false.
Yes, in any normal life situation, such a behavior, obviously can be very
destructive and very frustrating . Certainly, there is no doubt about that!
Unfortunately, on a certain D-day, when the REAL WOLF did come, his
distress calls were ignored. His plea for help failed to attract helpers.
His expected potential helpers continued with their normal activities,
ignoring him. Of course, the consequence was obvious and tragic – he
became a “fast food” for this wild beast.
Well, this case study may seem like kid’s story, but it is loaded with
vital questions, that require answers, as well as very important lessons
for all.
Key Questions:
In spite of the boy’s perceived mischief, the following vital questions may
be asked;
1.. was there a real wolf lurking in the neighborhood? Yes, or No?
2.. In other words, was the threat real or imaginary? Yes, or No?
3.. Could it be possible the boy alone, from time to time, really had
some types of visions, or glimpses of the wolf, but could not communicate
properly to others. ? Yes, or No?
4.. Why weren’t the elders in the community smart enough to see it as an
opportunity to sharpen their level of preparedness for a real and possible
threat, taking all necessary precautionary measures against the looming
and unknown evil day?
5.. In your view, were the elders in the community right in the manner of
handling the threat, whether credible or imaginary?
6.. Could there have been any possible wicked spirit behind the boy’s
Mischievous actions or it was just a mere psychological mischief from his
own mind?
7.. If there was a spirit behind, what was the real intent of this wicked
spirit?
8.. Could it have been a strategy of the wicked spirit to, first, sedate
the entire community against the evil day , only to catch them unaware ?
Yes, or No?
9.. If yes, to what extent did the game plan of this wicked spirit to,
sedate the whole community, work to perfection ?
IMPORTANT Similarities and Lessons:
a.. Many false prophets, today, are playing mischief about the end time,
just like the boy did, crying wolf, wolf, wolf, when there is no wolf.
b.. Many people in the world community have been sedated against the
End time, unaware of the strategies of the wicked one.
c.. The wolf attacked suddenly without giving any warning, just like
the Anti – Christ, the Beast, will do, in the evil days of the End-Time
d.. Many people, including even Christians and Pastors, are disinterested
about the End time – the evil day, possibly, due to false alarms in the past.
e.. The manifestation of the beast, the Anti Christ is as real as the hidden
wild beast - the wolf was.
f.. The evil day of the End-time tribulation is as real as the evil day the
boy was Devoured.
g.. As a key strategy, Satan, too , might, first, be trying to sedate
the world, putting as many people as possible to sleep, through false
prophesies, only to catch the unbelieving unprepared.

Today, many Christians, including even Pastors, in their heart, and in
thier actions have joined the unbelieving world, mocking and pouring scorn
on End – time warnings. Many Believers have joined unbelievers, asking;
“Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep,
all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
2 Peter 3:4
